Russia (GOST-R)

General
For the Russian market, statutory regulations exist, including mandatory minimum product safety requirements and conformity with certain technical standards and requirements, such as:

• GOST norms
• PUE electrical regulations
• GOSSTROI construction standards

At present, the official information is that a total of 19 different systems of compulsory certification exist in the Russian Federation in different legal fields.

The TÜV Rheinland Group is able via its certification department to supply manufacturers with DIN GOST TÜV certification and, via Mertcontrol, with GOST R mandatory certification for specific individual shipments, and GOST R certificates (annual certificates) for type-tested products.

The TÜV Rheinland Group labs in Cologne, Berlin and Dresden are the first and only laboratories in Germany with GOST accreditation.

GOST-R Certification

Documents Required

1. Safety Testing
   A CB-Test Reports with CB certificate or IEC based English language TÜV Rheinland Test Reports will be generally accepted.
2. EMC Testing
   For equipment with potential disturbance a EMC test report has to be provided.
3. Additional Documentation

• Application letter
• Identification number of production documentation
• Instruction manual in Russian
• Label in Russian
• Factory Inspection report

Factory Inspection

• It can be combined with the production supervision for other TÜV Rheinland Safety approvals.
