Rail Freight Traffic
The degree of complexity and rationalization in the rail-freight-traffic sector increasingly necessitates professional safety testing. We support you in meeting all requirements. We assess, test, evaluate, certify, advise, and optimize – either on-site at your premises or in our test center. We optimize your procurement and maintenance processes by, for example, drawing up and certifying standardized maintenance plans. In addition, we offer adaptation of maintenance regulations for rail vehicles with EC homologation. Our service portfolio also includes:
- EC testing as a notified body according to directive 2001/16/EC "Interoperability of the trans-European conventional rail system"
- Noise measurements according to TSI Noise (technical specification for interoperability)
- National homologation management
- Certification of assigned manufacturers and workshops
- Homologation management and assessment for vehicle rebuilding or conversion
- Introduction of a safety management system according to directive 2004/49/EC (Railway Safety Directive)

We support vehicle operators with invitations to tender and in evaluating proposals for the procurement of rolling stock.
