Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Stephan Baus
Chief Operating Officer, TÜV Rheinland Holding AG
Cologne. Since June 2008, Stephan Baus (43) has been a member of the TÜV Rheinland Holding AG Executive Board in his role as Chief Operating Office (COO). In addition to this, he is Management Spokesman for TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH and Managing Director of TÜV Rheinland Systeme GmbH as well as Head of Group Marketing.
Stephan Baus is a graduate engineer. Born in 1965 in Ehingen, he began his professional career after graduating from the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen (Germany), near the Liebherr sites in Ehingen.
Following his experience as a Department Manager in the mobile crane industry, Stephan Baus moved to the Dekra Group in 1995. He remained working for the group for eleven years, initially as a Managing Director and later as a member of the extended Executive Board for Dekra Holding AG. For Baus, this function included being part of the acquisition project of the French Norisko Group and was also in charge of the joint venture between Dekra and the UK-based Intertek plc.
Stephan Baus joined the TÜV Rheinland Group as Business Stream Manager in October 2005.
