Purpose

Through professional pain management you can help patients recover more quickly by giving them targeted, individual assistance in managing acute pain. Obtaining certification in acute pain therapy will help improve the satisfaction level of your patients.

A tolerable level with as few side effects as possible

The objective of the “Acute pain therapy” certification is to alleviate as far as possible pain arising shortly before, during, or after an operation – and without side-effects if at all possible.

Focus on the individual

Acute pain therapy puts the individual’s needs above all others. As a physician, you respond to the individual needs of patients and their subjective pain perception. After an operation, the patients themselves show you the extent of their pain on a scale. You then determine the optimum pain relief on the basis of this subjective estimate and the operation that has been performed.
