Notified Bodies
TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic GmbH provides a network of Notified Bodies in selected European countries, which offer the full range of certification services for rolling stock, energy, command/control/signaling, infrastructure, operation and maintenance.
According to the European Council Directives
- 96/48/EC on the Interoperability of the Trans-European High-Speed Rail System and
- 2001/16/EC on the Interoperability of the Trans-European Conventional Rail Systems
and the respective Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI), border-crossing rail systems must be checked regarding interoperability by independent bodies notified by the member states of the European Commission (EC). These Notified Bodies perform assessment of
- conformity of interoperability constituents
- EC verification of subsystems
and issue the respective certificates.
Currently, the our network of Notified Bodies is covers the following countries:
Netherlands
Luxcontrol Nederland B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of TÜV InterTraffic GmbH , is a Notified Body per the Dutch Ministry of Transport since 2001.
Italy
SCIROTÜV, a consortium with a 25% share held by TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic GmbH , is a Notified Body per the Italian Ministry of Transport since 2003.
Germany
TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic GmbH is an Associated Partner of the German Notified Body Eisenbahn-Cert (EBC) since 2000.
Denmark
TÜV InterTraffic, filial af TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic GmbH, Tyskland
France
TÜV InterTraffic GmbH has a Cooperation Agreement with the French Notified Body Certifier since 1999.
