National Contact Point

National Contact Point for Transport Research in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development

The German National Contact Point for Transport Research (NKS-V) is an advisory service working on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi).

It is a contact point for all researchers wishing to participate in the EU’s framework programme for research in the field of transport. Its services are open to all and include providing information about opportunities for participation and funding as well as advice on the application process and project implementation.

The NKS-V is responsible for all surface transport-related fields of research within the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (2007-2013), particularly the thematic priorities Sustainable Surface Transport and Galileo Applications for the “Transport (including aeronautics)“ programme.

NKS staff support the BMWi in its activities associated with the programmatic development of transport research at the European level. They serve as experts in the programme committee for the thematic priority “Transport (including aeronautics)“ in the 7th Framework Programme.
