Low- Voltage Directive (LVD) 73/23/EEC
This directive relates to electrical product safety. It applies to products with 50 to 1,000 VAC or 75-1500 VDC Input. Products may include computers, information technology equipment, household products, power tools, laboratory equipment, test and measurement equipment and power supplies. Components must comply with the applicable directives, but in most cases should not be CE Marked. The Low-Voltage Directive has been in effect since 1973. The Low-Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC was amended by 93/68/EEC with the adding of the CE Marking.
