KTQ

Purpose

KTQ is a certification procedure used in Germany for quality management systems in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, and other healthcare providers  It was developed ‘by experts for experts’ by various healthcare professionals working in a number of different fields and covers the specific requirements to be found in the healthcare sector.

Focus on the patient

The KTQ procedure is based on self-assessment and external assessment. You assess patient and employee focus, the hospital management, and the inter-departmental quality management system in a questionnaire. Quality management is only one aspect of the certification process however; patient focus is the key point.
