Project Description:
Kozdere Run-off river hydroelectric project involves the development of a run-off river type hydroelectric power plant of 9.46 MW installed capacity consisting of 2 generator units. The generated electricity will be supplied to the Turkish National grid. Yearly production is estimated as 42,830,000 kWh with a CO2 equivalent emission reduction of 27,239 tons. A 3.5 kilometers long transmission channel will be constructed for the controlled flow of water, 3 kilometres of which will be in the form of a tunnel.
The project contributes significantly to the mitigation of climate change and the region’s sustainable development and is designed as a voluntary Gold-Standard project.
