How does the plaque work?
How does the plaque work?
Simple: The year of expiration is listed in the inner, small circle, see example on the left.
The plaque color is always standard for a year and is repeated at some point. All yellow plaques expire this year (2003).
The expiration months are listed in the large circle. The number that is located at the top shows the month in which the vehicle must undergo a main inspection. In our example, this is June 2003
Usually, you then receive a new plaque for two years (this year a pink plaque with the number 05 in the center). By the way, the emissions inspection plaque "works" in exactly the same manner.
Automobiles that are entering traffic for the first time as a new registration only need to be presented for HU/AU after three years. After that, they must be inspected every two years.
