Glass tests / pendulum impact tests in lift construction
Statutory bases
Test certifications and attestations of the used glass materials are required for acceptance tests by the construction authorities for the glass components used in lift construction on the basis of, for example, a regional construction code or the European standards EN 81-1/2.
TÜV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg will provide you with support in issues of glazing.
We will provide you with competent consulting and testing on your instructions on the basis of the relevant provisions. The test sequence is determined and carried out depending on the used glass material, e.g. laminated safety glass and the used fastening technology. The TÜV expert compiles the necessary documentation for you. Our comprehensive measuring equipment enables us to test, at short notice and according to requirements:
- glass shaft doors
- shaft walls
- shaft ceilings
- lift cage glazing
in accordance with EN 81, Part 1 and Annex J [pendulum impact test with impact object for hard and soft impact] and in accordance with EN 12600 [with modified impact object/twin tyres].
A further aspect of a test of this kind is the "certificate" for the manufacturer or assembly operation. It demonstrates the high quality of his product.
Without any doubt, a good argument in competition!
