Energy-absorbing materials

The application of energy-absorbing materials is of major importance for the minimisation of injury potential for aircraft passengers and personnel.

We examine the absorption capacity and failure behaviour of materials and material compositions in dynamic tests. Proposals are developed from the test evaluations to optimise materials.
