Consumer tips - Pushchairs

Good brakes are particularly important for prams and pushchairs. Before making a purchase, you should push the buggy backwards and forwards several times with the brake applied. The wheels should not roll through and the brake linkage should not twist. A double safety catch will also prevent siblings from accidentally folding the pram or pushchair.

Suspension and wheels

For the child's comfort, also ensure that there is a well-balanced suspension and large wheels. These will absorb shocks better and offer protection for your child's spine. And for your own good, ensure that that there is a height adjustable push bar and select a pram or pushchair that is not too heavy and can be packed easily into the car.

Safe against tip over?

Overloaded prams and pushchairs can easily tip over. Therefore, do not store heavy items in the net on the bar or on the back but in the storage space beneath the seat or lying area. Collapsible sporty pushchairs and buggies ensure there is sufficient distance between the axles and a wheel track that protrudes beyond the assembly, providing tilt resistance.
