My duties

It's my job to develop new services within the framework of the EU's REACH Chemicals Directive. I also market these services and I'm involved in the implementation of projects.

The challenges associated with my job

One of the challenging aspects about my job is that I'm working in an entirely new field. There are very few experts in this field, and very few companies that really know what to expect in the future. My work is related to the new European Chemicals Directive, REACH, which entered into force on 1 July 2007. It is challenging to help companies which are affected by the directive to ensure that they are complying with it.

The career support that I receive

I get a lot of support. I'm able to take part in seminars, and I've had the opportunity to improve my English in course that was organised by the TÜV Rheinland Group.
