Luxembourg test mark for electrotechnical products

CCA stands for Cenelec Certification Agreement. For you as a manufacturer of electrical appliances subject to the European low voltage directive (72/23/EWG) such as, for example, electrical home appliances, luminaires, office and data processing machines, tools, transformers, switches, electronic construction elements, that means that you can obtain several national, European approvals quickly and inexpensively. Provided that your factory is located in Luxembourg or one of the CENELEC member countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway,Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or Turkey. These are the countries, or certification bodies within the scope of the CCA scheme, which mutually recognise test results. This is time saving for you and avoids costly double-testing of one and the same product. In accordance with CENELEC Memorandum No. 13, you can proceed as follows:

1. Using a form which you receive via us, you apply to the certification body of Luxembourg (SEE) at the address given below for granting of the Luxembourg test mark, including CCA test report and Notification of Test Result (NTR).

2. SEE provides you with the necessary contractual documentation, and informs you where your sample must be presented.

3. Commissioned by the Luxembourg certification body, SEE, TÃœV Rheinland Product Safety GmbH carries out the necessary tests on your product in accordance with the recognized standards within the CCA scheme, and passes on the positive test report to SEE.

4. On having been presented with the contract, declaration, and initial factory inspection report SEE issues approval to carry the Luxembourg test mark, as well as the necessary CCA paper (NTR) and the CCA test report for further applications.

5. Any further European test marks on the basis of the SEE NTR can be obtained within 3 to 6 weeks.
