ÇayaÄŸazı 9,76 MW Run-off River Hydroelectric Project - Turkey

Project Description:
ÇayaÄŸazı Run-off river hydroelectric project involves the development of a run-off river type hydroelectric power plant of 9.76 MW installed capacity consisting of 2 generator units. The generated electricity will be supplied to the Turkish National grid. Yearly production is estimated as 33.174.000 kWh with a CO2 equivalent emission reduction of 21.098 tons. A 7.5 kilometres long transmission channel will be constructed for the controlled flow of water.

The project contributes significantly to the mitigation of climate change and the region’s sustainable development and is designed as a voluntary Gold-Standard project.
