Project Title: Burgaz 14,9 MW Wind Farm Project – Turkey

Project Description:
The project involves the development of a 14.9 MW onshore wind farm in Çanakkale Province, Gallipoli District in Turkey. The project is constructed and operated by “DoÄŸal Enerji Electric Üretim A.Åž.” , a daughter company of the within the Turkish renewable industry renowned Demirer Holding A.Åž. and consists of 13 wind turbines of 800 kW and 5 wind turbines of 900 kW, supplied by Enercon GmbH. 5 units of Enercon E44 are installed at an altitude of 55m and 13 units of Enercon E48 are installed at an altitude 65 m hub height. The proposed project activity includes the construction of 2 km of new transmission line to establish a connection between the proposed project and the national grid. The project will be connected to the 154 kV high-voltage transmission line at Kumlulimani-Gelibolu transformer station. The Burgaz Wind Farm will generate approx. 52 GWh/year which is delivered to the Turkish national grid. The estimated emission reductions amount to approx. 44,541 tCO2-eq/year. Because of the significant contributions of the project activity to the region’s sustainable development is the project activity designed as Voluntary Offset Project under the Gold Standard.
