Bluetooth®
Our Bluetooth Service for your products
Bluetooth is a wireless technology without which we can no longer even imagine today’s digital world, and it is a market that holds the promise of powerful growth to come.
So you may use Bluetoth in your product, it is essential to have a membership in the "Special Interest Group (SIG)". You commit to use the patented Bluetooth technology only, if the product is tested, qualified and listed. Listing costs a one-off fee that covers the patent of using Bluetooth technology.
The TÜV Rheinland Group has been on board since the outset of Bluetooth qualification. At our recognized Bluetooth Qualified Test Facilities (BQTFs) we test your products for compliance with Bluetooth specifications:
- Radio tests
- Protocol tests
- Profile tests
- Interoperability tests
Our Bluetooth Qualification Experts (BQE´s) are helping you in listing your products in the Bluetooth database.
Once your product is on the Bluetooth Qualification List it can be sold with the Bluetooth logo, thereby demonstrating that your product has fulfilled all of the requirements and will interoperate with other Bluetooth products without problems.
What else can we do for you?
In addition we carry out regulatory tests such as EMC, radio, health and electrical safety tests in accordance with the Low-Voltage Directive now that no lower voltage limit applies (as per R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC), and we can do this not only for Europe but for many other countries too.
