Methodologies:
ACM0002/version 7, Sectoral Scope: 1
Project Description:
The Akbük Wind Farm Project involves the development of a 31.5 MW onshore wind farm in the region of Aydın Province, Didim District in Turkey. The project participant in the host country and generation license holder is Ayen Enerji A.Åž., which has been active as project developer in the Turkish energy sector since 1990. The generated electricity will be delivered to the Turkish national grid. The Project involves the installation of 15 wind turbines model SUZLON S88 with 2.1 MW capacity each and the development of a high voltage transmission line between the proposed project area and the national grid. 15 units of SUZLON S88 are planned to be installed at an altitude of 79m hub height with a rotor diameter of 88 m each. The grid connection consists of a 3 km transmission line. The sub transformer station at the project area, will be connected to the 154 kV High Voltage national grid from Akbük transformer station. An estimated 105 GWh/year1 will be produced by the project activity and delivered to the Turkish national grid.
