Continuous Emission Monitoring of Fine Particles PM 10 / PM 2.5 (CEMPM)

A research project supported by the EC under the 5th FP: EVK2-CT-2002-30001 CEMPM
The picture shows the wind tunnel used in the project. At this Time runs the Work Package No. 2 with the general and basic tests.
Laboratory test:
- Ascertaining of the performance characteristics (Analysis function, detection limit, interferences of other process or waste gases, reaction times, power dependence, output signals),
- Climate test of the measuring devices and a first test phase in the lab,
- The obtained results will be discussed in a status meeting and necessary optimisations are to agree.
Wind tunnel test:
- Preparing the monitors optimally for field application,
- Generation of defined conditions by dosage of special dust types combined with typical gas velocities,
- Execution of manual reference methods for PM concentration and particle size distribution simulta-neously (based on EN guidelines).
