Quality in the Food Industry
For the food industry there is a series of standards for management systems and protocols for various specific applications, whose goal is to respond to consumers concerns about food harmlessness. TÜV Rheinland Argentina offers management systems certifications services and training to meet the needs of said industry, specially focused on the application of world known HACCP principles.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Basic hygiene principles for the elaboration of food applicable throughout the food chain. Good Manufacturing Practices are a compulsory prerequisite for companies that apply HACCP. They can also be certified individually.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System - HACCP
The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points System can be implemented not only for food producers but also for service supplying companies (i.e., transportation, storage, etc.) and for other industries with similar criteria (i.e., pharmaceutical, cosmetics, etc.)
In order to prove the application of the principles mentioned, some recognized international standards could be certified:
ISO 22000

EurepGAP
It is a protocol applicable to the primary production of fruits and vegetables. It includes GMP, HACCP and some basic elements of quality and environmental management. There are also other protocols for the primary production of cattle and ornamental flowers.
BRC e IFS
